If gambling is illegal, then why is the lottery allowed. Aren't the pretty much the same thing?

Not really, they arent the same thing, gambling, is illegal because it's kind of an underground thing, notice how hot-spot clubs and casinos only allow people that are 21 years old and over, in the casino? but the lottery is a thing that is allowed because its from some company, in order for people to make money, and gambling, you make money, but its cause you gamble lol, confusing right...

if the goverment can make money off something they will no matter if it should be illegal or not
