Is there a cure for laziness?

If so, I need it. I've gotten so lazy that I even procrastinate on doing stuff that I enjoy. I really need to find some ambition.

Are there any books I can read that would help?

I've been there .......The only cure for this that I have found is to get up and start doing something ......ANYTHING. I'm not joking ...WORK as simple as it sounds cures it.

Ha. Yes, there's a cure. You won't like hearing this, but your problem is that you don't appreciate that life is short. Death isn't very real to you, or you don't relate it to yourself. You think you have all the time in the world, and you don't. You might die 50 years from now, which seems like a long time (it's not), or you might die 5 years from now. Or 5 days from now. The truth is, you don't know.

Also, you haven't given much thought about whats really, really important to you. If you only had 5 years to live, what would you do with your life? Seriously.

You're wasting your life right now, man, and you don't appreciate it. Get your head straight, get focused on what you care about and then you'll find it easier to get up off your back side and do what matters to you.

You need to look at why you are putting these things off. Motivational books might help you. Anthony Robbins has some good ones. Don't be afraid of failing. Colonel Sanders got rejected over 1000 times with his chicken recipe before someone bought it. If he gave up, KFC wouldnt exist. If you put things off for too long, one day it will be too late and all you will have is regrets. So, just do it.

I think we have the same thing!

One book that helped me is "Sink Reflections" by Marla Cilley aka the Flylady.

This helped me to start keeping up with my housework a little bit at a time, but her methods can also be applied to other aspects of life besides housecleaning. I have bought the book 4 times and given 3 of them away. I keep a copy to refer to every so often. She also has a website. Flylady.com. Good luck! (I probably ought to get the book back out and get off of this computer!)

Sadly, the only cure for laziness is getting up and doing, sometimes what helps is a dose of desire. The otter has been known to play with its fish for hours before eating it. What one chooses to desired is ruled by one's self making everything in interpretation relative to an opinion. The key to laziness must be desire.

Have you ever seen Jerry Springer or Nip Tuck about this lady that was so lazy and all she kept doing is eating and watching tv and sleeping always sitting in a same couch. Well guess what happened to her fat ***. It got rotten sewed to her couch so when they tried to get her out of house for lypo surgery she had skin that was attached to material that couch was part of. It is a very nasty view trust me. I am not saying your skiny or fat *** may turn that way but mainly if you trying to gain weight on your *** and stomach you might want to reconsonsider your lifestyle.
