My mom always used baking soda and vinegar. Works great, bubbles up and cleans the jewelry wonderfully! When the bubbles subside, rub the jewelry together with your finger and then rinse with water and pat dry. You'll be good to go. I've used it on both gold and silver, and it makes it sparkly clean! Hope this helps!

Use a little bit of dish soap and rubbing alcohol in water and a very soft toothbrush. I worked in a jewelry store for most of my life, do not use toothpaste, when it dries it's like cement, jewelry gets dirty from oils, dirt and makeup on your skin, not from plaque. You should take your rings to a jeweler to have them clean them at least once a year to check for loose stones, worn prongs, etc. At the jewelry store I worked at, we would clean some rings for free, others we would charge for, it depends on how well you want them cleaned, dropping it in an ultrasound machine was free, polishing it by hand and also with a machine with different buffers takes time so you will have to pay for it. Also, take your rings off once a week and turn them around, the prongs will wear more evenly that way.

Rub baking soda directly on jewlery using an old toothbrush and rinse with warm water. Dry and polish using a cloth.

You can pour rubbing alcohol into an old cup or plastic cup, and then put your jewelry inside and let it soak. When you take it out make sure you dry the jewelry. Everything should be clean and shiny.

I used to artwork in an auctioneers who bought a number of rings. the terrific thank you to scrub your stones is to depart them to soak in some luke heat soapy water. Get a gentle toothbrush and them gently brush over them and the airborne dirt and dirt could desire to fall away. xx

ive used toothpaste before to clean my ring, but i usually just take it into the jewelry store and have them clean it for me and check the prongs and everything for me. its free for me because i bought my ring there, but i dont know if jewelry stores would charge if people just came in and asked to have it done.
