Can a trained K9 smell a chemical buried in the ground?

And if so, how far whould you have to bury something in order to not have it detected?

Yes. I have known Cadaver Dogs that could smell the body of a person that had been buried for 5 years....the smell was imbedded in the foliage that grew over the grave.

LOL...what are you trying to hide?

well if you are doing something....like drugs and are wondering then i will not tell you how far but i will say that yes but it depends how long the dog has been trained and how good their sniffer is.and how strong the drug/chemical may be.
