Money is probably one of the worst.

Media, political groups, Bush, etc.. are all driven by money.

Stereotypes aren't really evil, just annoying. If you can't take time to get to know every person in the world, you might as well make generalizations I guess.

Terrorism and religion aren't necessarily evil either. Terrorism might be good in the eyes of the people doing it, and religion is only a person's personal belief. Those types of "evil" are all dependent on the viewer's thoughts.

Also, as far as Satan being evil goes, Satan-ikas was actually a saintly Indian king. His teachings went like this:

The following are the "evil" teachings that this "Satan" used to ensnare innocent victims:

    1. The senses are not the seat of wisdom.

    2. The Law of Karma (the effect of our past deeds, whether good or bad) is a reality.

    3. The world and the beings in it are realities; not illusions.

    4. The spiritual dimension is also real.

    5. No one should kill animals.

    6. We must endure patiently the life conditons that we cannot change.

    7. Do not mortify the body.

    8. Always be truthful, sincere, and pure of conduct.

    9. Do not steal.

    10. Do not be unfaithful to your spouse. Control all earthly desires.

    Pretty evil, right? ;D

Evil has become all encompassing and is being used too much these days in my opinion. Anthing that hurts people or things without a thought for the others feelings or well being is evil to me.

The official meaning is e·vil /ˈivəl/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ee-vuhl] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation

–adjective 1. morally wrong or bad; immoral; wicked: evil deeds; an evil life.

    2. harmful; injurious: evil laws.

    3. characterized or accompanied by misfortune or suffering; unfortunate; disastrous: to be fallen on evil days.

    4. due to actual or imputed bad conduct or character: an evil reputation.

    5. marked by anger, irritability, irascibility, etc.: He is known for his evil disposition.

–noun 6. that which is evil; evil quality, intention, or conduct: to choose the lesser of two evils.

    7. the force in nature that governs and gives rise to wickedness and sin.

    8. the wicked or immoral part of someone or something: The evil in his nature has destroyed the good.

    9. harm; mischief; misfortune: to wish one evil.

    10. anything causing injury or harm: Tobacco is considered by some to be an evil.

    11. a harmful aspect, effect, or consequence: the evils of alcohol.

    12. a disease, as king's evil.

–adverb 13. in an evil manner; badly; ill: It went evil with him.

—Idiom14. the evil one, the devil; Satan.

However it is just personal opinion. Terrorists are evil, they hurt people to further their own gain. The others are your own choice I won't make this a political stand.

I'm of the opinion that any one statement or fact alone doesn't dictate a 'truth' any more then walking into burger-king makes you a hamburger. 1) Rather its a dynamic or consistency between two or more statements and how each of these statements contribute something and remain interdependent on those other statements. 2) Without this dynmaic, and more importantly when this dynamic is missing all 'misinformation' makes an appearence. ___________ Edit: A) Spiritually speaking though, it is the 'Dogma' of misinformation that taints both disciplines of 'Science' and 'Religion' B) The misinformation of some tenets of religion we are all intelligent enough to be aware of, but try those socks on with the Dogma of Science... C) Months ago, I posted a supposed Scientific-Article, that claimed a Mammal, a female shark, gave birth to her offspring without ever being exposed to a male. Scientifically they call this something like "Parthogenesis"; and its extremely rare or unheard of, that is until articles from the likes of 'National Geographic' among other reputable submissions... made an appearence earlier this year. D) The point of me mentioning this is not in the truth or falsehood of the 'Mammals' that may or may not be able to have 'Virgin-Births' like a flower, slug, worm, etc..; but that people's answer patronized, recoiled in disgust, and all other reactions that would be the result of even letting the mere-consideration of what this could mean if, in fact it could be true. E) Really 'Atheist' and others that can't admit their own subjective interpretations of their religion of 'Science'; and more importanly can't even admit that their 'consensus-science' has more of an air of subjective interpretation then anyone wants to let on to. F) If the science of Evolution preaches that the transition form 'Amphibian' to 'Mammal' can happen 'Spontaneously', and the whole concept behind mutations and natural-selection; in the overt-processes of an animal defined as the 'Process of Evolution'....is it then such an evil-evolved thought to suggest it can happen on the animals subtler, hidden processes....such as its biology... and that nature, heaven forbid, may evolve to a point where Mammals don't require the male-species to procreate without human-intervention(test-tube, etc..)? G) Wether we would admit it to ourselves or not, the main origin of our curiosity to seek 'whats beyond ourselves' , and 'is there better, more intelligent life?' has helped drive 'Science' to become what it is today...sure a lot of Religion is steeped in Superstion and metaphors and similies that may be confused for fact, but as in my example of 'Evolution' above, so seems that Science has become only the mere, opposite side of a Fallacious coin, most call 'Dogma'.

As everything in life It is totally Subjective.

Whether IT is good or evil depends on which side of the fence you are on.

If Bush is a saviour for some for others he is quite something else.

The greatest evil in the world is that mankind can't sem to wrap it's head around the idea that we are all - at the very core of our beings - connected, and that to hurt one is to hurt all.

Bible says no good thing comes from the heart of man. We are a fallen creature, and as long as we are in the flesh we will sin.

Jesus saves us by Grace through our faith. Not our good works.
