So far, no. Carter was probably the most honest, moral president we've ever had. That was his downfall. Lie, cheat and steal have become part of the Presidential job description. No one with as much true spiritual conviction as him will EVER run again. The desire to better humanity and not just feed ones ego has been lost.

Former President Jimmy Carter is truly one who has spiritual conviction in the true sense. Whether any of the 2008 Presidential candidates have the same conviction, it is difficult to determine but I certainly hope so.

There are three candidates currently running who have faith-based campaigns.

    1) Gov. Mike Huckabee (R, AR) was once a preacher, and wrote several books that read like sermons (see " Living Beyond Your Lifetime").

    2) Sam Brownback (R, KS) also includes an explicit faith-based message in his writings (see "Building a Healthy Culture")

    3) Rev. Al Sharpton (D, NY) is a reverend, and imbues much of his politics with religious commentary (but on the liberal side)

There are a few Republicans..there is Sam Brownback, a Christian and Mitt Romney a Mormon...they really are the only two Republicans I see running that I like so far.

God I hope not!. Carter was the worst president of the 20th century. Not content with the screw ups of his presidency, he continues to screw up as a retired president.

YES'' but they will not allow me to run because i don't have 5 million dollars to start with, should this tell you any thing, its not what kind of man you or woman you are, its about if you are a power player or not, i wonder was Abraham Lincoln a power player? i think not, you may vote but it will not change the game.
