Windows 7 install size?
Looking to buy a small OS-only SSD for a WIn7 64bit install in a new system with a 1TB VelociRaptor for storage and apps. Is a 32GB large enough?
2 AnswersSoftware8 years agoRecommend a decent digital camera?
I am looking for a decent, inexpensive digital camera for my son. My primary concerns are durability and shutter lag. One that we've been looking at is the Canon A470. Any experiences with this one or can anyone suggest another?

3 AnswersPolitics1 decade ago6mm threaded hole stripped. What size drill and tap should I use?
It's in aluminum and there is plenty of surrounding material. Would 1/4-20 give me enough thread or should I go 7mm? It needs to hold about 20lbs of pressure and it gets hot (thermostat housing)

12 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat the heck has happened to Republican "values"?
Only one Republican candidate is still on their first wife. Of course, his great-grandparents fled to Mexico to avoid federal presecution. One married his pregnant girlfriend when he was just 17 and served on the Scooter Libby Legal Defense Fund advisory board. One was married to his 2nd cousin for 14 years and is now on his 3rd wife. One was heavily involved with the Keating Five.

11 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoHow do conservatives feel about the ACLU now coming out in defense of Larry Craig?
The American Civil Liberties Union today submitted a friend-of-the-court brief to a Minnesota District Court urging it to allow Senator Larry Craig to withdraw his guilty plea because the secret sting operation used to arrest him was likely unconstitutional.

9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy don't Democrats want to end the war?
In June Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting's Extra! Magazine wrote: "If the Democrat-controlled Congress wanted to force the Bush administration to accept a bill with a withdrawal timeline, it didn't have to pass the bill over Bush's veto--it just had to make clear that no Iraq War spending bill without a timeline would be forthcoming."
Democratic leaders know that. And here's how I know they know: days after taking control of Congress, on January 30, they invited five constitutional law experts to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee to ask them how they could end the war. Four out of five of the experts swore that the Democrats could stop the Iraq War just...like...that.
"Today we've heard convincing testimony and analysis that Congress has the power to stop the war if it wants to," said Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI). Yet eight months later, there's still no end in sight.
14 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIf "All men are created equal"?
and the government of the United States is bound by the Constitution which grants everyone equal protection under the law (Amendment XIV Section 1), should some citizens be denied the same rights (i.e. gay marriage) that are afforded to others?
Yes, I know the Bible's stance on this but the Bible is God's law, not American law.
If someone can show me where our governing documents show that homosexuals are not persons within its jurisdiction (the US), I'd love to see it.

3 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoDoes our ability, as Christians, to be forgiven simply by asking and believing...?
absolve us from responsibility for our actions?
The reason I ask this is I see a large number of self-professed Christians spewing nothing but hatred, vitrol, and bigotry all week long and then going to Church on Sunday to "be forgiven". Is it not better to not need to ask to be forgiven for your long list of sins? Is it not better to attempt to live a "Christ-like" life?
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoRaising the minimum wage?
My state, NH, voted today to raise the minimum wage to $6.50 on Sept. 1 and to $7.25 the following Sept. 1. The US has not raised the minimum wage since 1997 and the "real value" of minimum wage is now at it's lowest point since 1957. Since the last minimum wage hike, if the minimum wage had been indexed to the rate of inflation, an estimated 7 million workers now earning the minimum wage would be receiving $9.05 an hour. Thoughts?
12 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoCivil unions?
My state, New Hampshire, today became one on 4 states allowing civil unions. "This legislation is a matter of conscience, fairness and of preventing discrimination," said the governors spokesman Colin Manning.
My question is "what is wrong with the other 46?"
http://www.wmur.com/news/13192864/detail.html
I don't need you to quote the Bible to me. I have read it many times and understand it well.
This isn't "marriage". It is "equal protection under the law."
6 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoIs this how God (or our mothers) taught us to act?
-the animosity toward people with different viewpoints
-the bigotry towards different races and religions
-instigating quarrels, brawls, and distress among others
-the lack of sympathy and compassion for those in need
Should we not use this forum for civilized discussion rather than maintaining hatred and malice towards others?
Jesus said "Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. " (1 Peter 3:8-9)

5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIs it possible to be a good Catholic yet ignore the Churches stance on the Iraq war?
It seems that many are quick to point out the Church's position on gay marriage and abortion but ignore the fact that the Pope has spoken often of the Church's opposition to the war. Shouldn't all good Catholics be opposed to the war, following the expressed displeasure of the Church?
