There are a Billion Creative learning things on the market, too include phonetics, word sounds, picture association, you name it.

Music with a child's violin, flute. Build things together out of LEGO, Blocks, QUADRO, Tinker-Toy. All of those things support creativity, perception, association, and to a degree physics.

Do not forget Nursery Rhymes. Again, they are phonetics.

Start her to writing by making writing continuous Os and staying between the top and bottom line, the same thing with a continuous

I. The goal is to touch the top and bottom line but not go over it.

Repeat all the AT words - AT, CAT, BAT---, same with IT words.

Reading to and each making up a story about Smiles, Tears, FUN, your choice. You make up and tell one, then your daughter takes a turn.

Ask the story/film question. EX. In what Nursery Rhyme did the lost sheep come home?

Put a blanket over the kitchen table and the two of you pretend you are camping. You can play under there with her doing puzzles and coloring and such. Very private, with the world shut out. You can use old newspapers cut in strips and make a glue/paste out of flour and water and do paper mache stuff. Blow up a balloon and use that as a base. When it is dried, you can put some food coloring in to some of the glue and paste mixture and paint it. An animal or human face, or whatever.

My daughter is in college now and I was able to be home, we would go roller skating, find a store where that have ceramics you can do, that was one of the best ones, I took her to the library where they had story time, we would go to a craft store such as Michael's or Joann Fabrics and find a craft she wanted to do, there's always good kids movies, even going out to lunch at a nicer restaurant so then she can wear her pretty dress, how about going threw old pictures and putting them in a photo album, why not go to a soup kitchen and help out, she could take up soccer and you could watch, there's paper machete and you could go wild with that one, very easy to do and you probably have all the things you need at home, how about making cupcakes or cookies, I hope something here helps you two out. dance around its fun...do different moves and copy each other. bake a cake or some cookies.....make play dough and play with it....You can use if for ages it should store for a few weeks. Draw....you can do different things with drawing like shade over a coin or leaf with crayon. make colleges cut out pics from magazines. Play dress ups...do crazy styles in each others hair.....just hide the sissors ( my god daughter found the sissors why playing this game......everyone got a lovely hair cut!!!!!!) You can make necklaces and stuff out of dry pasta that has been coloured just get some wool.......be creative. Get some books from the library and read to her, or find a book about activities for children

Coloring is very good just with a few colors

Let her draw with you, what ever ABC's funny faces.....kids love you to read to them and it is so good for them, make differcnce voices for the chaters in the stories.

Get an old sock draw a face (eyes nose lips) your puppet (if you if it in your hand the toeof the sock into the palm of hand and glue a pice of cardboard it makes a mouth that opens color pink)

Sing an easy short song she can learn and you can sing together.....even dance to

Kids love to play in a box (a safe easy opening one)if you have paint or markers, colors make it a car or house

You can make your own playdough with things around the house

You can read together, or you can teach her how to do various arts and crafts projects. She can also help you with chores. Get her to sort laundry for you or put away non-sharp utensils.

Keep in mind that you don't have to be her playmate all day! It's nice to do one or two things that you both enjoy, but she should also be learning to entertain herself. Be sure you are not playiing "on demand." Play when you have the time and desire, and only when she is being a fair and pleasant playmate.

You could color, dance to some of the videos they make for girls, make crafts, cook, have reading time, math time, writing time, playdough is great to build fine motor skills needed for writing . Take field trips: go to the library once or twice a week - find out what activities they have available; go to the zoo, park or walking trail. Make a weekly schedule. Try to have your child on a schedule with activites and include nap time. This will help her get ready for Kindergarten.

i have a 4 year old son and i can't do this but i know at one time or ather in the pergnesce you made a baby book or even now makeing a srcapbook .now ( i am with my unborn gril and my sonsince the day i found i i was prego) why don't you pic one day out of the week to make a page with her of every thing she likes like. i mean go to walmart ( they have the best deals for that stuff or ac moore if you have one around you) and buy a blank book and let her pic out the stickers and stuff for the book and then tell her its for the day you work on it ( invole dad if he wants my man hates it so i do it when he is at work) . do one page a week of all the things you tryed to or have done theat week like walking in the park or paying on the swing or coloring ......

this i think will stick with you guys for a long time if you try.

I love the book 100 things to do in tight spaces. Many great ideas for kids to do at home, or whereever you find yurself. As for other idea, try findingsome playmates in the area. We found a great playgroup through Yahoo groups and we meet in our neighborhood. Aslos the library usually offers great free programs, maybe there is one nearby you can walk to.

My daughter loves crafting so i save everything, empty egg cartons, stickers from junk mail, catalogs. She can make many things from my trash!

Go to the zoo, park or to the library the children's section is wonderful. You also can check out DVDs to watch together. You can teach your daughter how to read and write, and that learning is fun, she can also help you cook, and bake. Kids love to mix and stir, and can be a great little helper.
