Has anyone here dealth with Anemia?
I am 34 yrs old and a Type1 diabetic. I recently found out I am anemic. My b12, folic acid, and iron levels are extremely low. Has anyone got the b12 shots and found them helpful?

Unfortunately, yes.
About 12 years ago I decided to become a vegetarian, except for a few pieces of grilled chicken here and there but other than that it was no red meat, poultry, and only a tiny amount of fish.
I had developed perinous anemia (low b-12), I was put on the pills, didn't work cuz i couldn't absorb them, then a liquid, same thing, couldn't absorb it. So they finally put me on the shots. After a series of one a day for a week, then twice a week for a month, then once a week for 6 months (and mind you this was oh say 5 years ago) I now only have to take them once a month. However, I have changed my diet to include some red meat, more poultry and of course alot more fish. I also drink OJ like its going out of style, for the benefits of the folic acid, which helps in the absorbtion of the b-12.
Once you get on a routine, you will feel much better. I know I did and still do now!

I was anemic, the doctor started me on B 12 shots. But my hemoglobin count did not go up to a safe level, so he started me on Dexferrum 50 MG/ML by injection. This must be administered under the care of a doctor. But I felt better almost immediately.
But some people do very well with the B12. You have nothing to lose by trying them, if of course your doctor thinks this is a good idea.

I understand the B-12 sub-lingual is the way to go.
Check out your diet and add more B12 rich foods too.
Watch taking iron as it can make you constipated so you may want to research the benefits of magnesium supplement for constipation. There are certain things you should not eat if you are low in iron. Do you have a cast iron pan?
Diabetic? Are you using a substitute sugar. Beware of sucralose as it screwed me up bad with my diabetes (blood sugar levels). Research it good before you choose to use it.
All things to consider and research and decide for yourself.

I don't think I've ever had a b12 shot but I did have some sort of iron transfusion. It was a one day process (about 8 hours typically but I had a reaction so it took a little longer) and it pretty much took care of my anemia ever since. Low iron definitely makes you feel crappy, I hope you feel better soon.
Eat red meat, beans, dark green, leafy veggies.

b12 helps, it will boost your energy level, start eating healthier meals, you can get more iron from vegetables, instead of red meat. Start with dark green leafy veggies like spinach, callard greens, and legumes, like lentils, beans, artichokes. And for your folic acid eat your citrus, oranges, grapefruits, and who knows, you might even keep your diabetes in check.

I had anemia when I was 18 and ill. My best suggestion is to go with natural foods rich in iron. Like dark greens, spinach, beets and beet greens, endive....etc. also a good multi-vitamin with iron.
