On a 47" LCD HDtv, can you really see a difference between 768 and 1080 lines?

Trying to decide if 1080 is worth the money and can't really get the systems side by side with the same HD signal to tell.

Thanks in advance for any input.

    well - 1080 is the best, and you can se the difrent if you have 2 screens

    to look at. Se one or two year ahead the transmission will be at 1080 lines

    so by for the future.

    EDTV v.s. HDTV

    noticable difference 768 or 1080

    almost 3x the size

    Yup, 1 will look more bland and the other will look deeper and sharper.
