could you forgive?

if someone stole from you, would you have to kill one of your kids so that you could forgive him or could you just decide to fogive him?

especially when you were the one that made the rule that is too hard to follow. since it's so hard to follow you later decided to give the people grace. the way you gave them grace is by torchering your only child to death? because only by torchering your child to death could you forgive the one who has sinned against you.

in the Koran it says that God spared Jesus when the Jews tried to kill him because he had mercy on his prophet and knew that Jesus wanted the cup to pass from him.

I'm an atheist. I forgave the three thugs that beat my 89-year-old gramma to death. Am I kinder than god?

The Koran is just as flawed as the Bible. In reality forgiveness is what you do when your too weak to take revenge, and true forgiveness is only capable if you have your foot on your enemies throat. I personally believe that if someone offends you, make an example of them to warn your enemies what you will do. What you say about the Koran only applies if God is real. I say that the god of the Abrahamic traditions does not exist, so Jesus was no prophet and no Messiah. Therefore it doesn't matter if he lived or died because he represented nothing important.

Here is a thought for you: What if it was planned from the beginning that someone would have to come down and be sacrificed so that we all could return to our Heavenly Father? What if in a planning meeting we all attended it was proposed that we would come to this earth, but we would be tempted to do evil things. We wouldn't be able to fully live the law given to return. This because of us having the ability of choice. Because of this we couldn't return to our Father that we loved so dearly. What if someone we all loved volenteered themselves to be the one to make such a sacrifice? What if we all voted on this outcome? I tell you this did happen. The great plan was given for us to come to this earth, for reasons not discussed. We wanted to come, we needed to come, but our loving Father knew that without help we couldn't return back to him. So Jesus volenteered to come down and do the sacrifice necissary for us to return. It was his choice because he loved us that much.

    pretty silly, isn't it...

    bettter yet --

how is it sacrifice when you (jeebus) are god, and you know that when you die, you don't really die, you end up resurrecting and going back up in heaven anyway. thus, nothing was ever really being lost or sacrificed.

another fatal flaw in the bible story of "resurrection" and equating it to service and sacrifice. nothing was sacrificed when you know you're heaven-bound and your death is not a death. it's all phony. and a flaw in the story. they didn't think it out well enough when they made up the story.

No, I wouldn't forgive.I would do what God did.First I would get my son recovered by healing him and took his body away. Then I would exile the human kind 's Galaxy to a far far away place at space, all alone and leave them to do whatever they want to do together.

if it happens to me, higher power must forgive me cuz i wouldn't forgive,..

maybe i can spare him, or follow the legal cases to punish him,. but that would feel bad,.

also,. still try to recover and turn a new leaf and be a stronger, protective person...

Jesus came to die for sin willingly he knew he would suver but he loved us enough to go through that. I believe Jesus died for my sin and am glad I know him in a personal way.
