    1. Barry Sanders-I don't care what happened to the Lions in the playoffs. No one ever has or will be able to run like Barry did. He would have approached 25,000 yards had he not retired.

    2. Jim Brown.

    3. Walter Payton

    4. Emmitt Smith

    5. Eric Dickerson

Honorable mentions: Tony Dorsett, The Bus, Larry Csonka, and O.J.

    I should note that......

.....L.T hasn't played long enough to be in consideration......

.......Red Granger was more of a great college runningback at Illinois than an NFL runningback.

    Nice list though!

Put my man riggo in the top 5 you must be a Skins fan.

    Anyways

    1. Barry Sanders (He chaned the game)

    2. Jim Brown (He started the game)

    3. Emiit Smith( he was a double threat out the backfield)

    4. Ladanian Tomlinson (he is a triple threat)

5.a Walter Payton (what can I say the man was a beast)

5.b Eric Dickerson (He just ran stuff over.)

    1. Barry Sanders, he did not have the offensive line like the others, and still never missed a 1000 yard season his whole career.

    2. Jim Brown, his avg is over 6 yds per carry, no one will ever come close to breaking that avg, what's more he was never injured.

    3. Walter Payton, this guy could block, catch, punt, and throw, how many other guys can do that?

    4. Eric Dickerson, this guy reached 10,000 yds faster than anyone, not to mention the fact that he did not really play for the best teams.

    5. Emmitt Smith, I would rank him higher for being the all time leading rusher, but I won't because out of these 5 guys, he had the offencive line that helped him, and could not really do much without it, as he proved post Nate Newton.

    1-Barry Sanders

    2-Jim Brown

    3-Walter Payton

    4-Eric Dickerson

    5-Emmitt Smith

*If Barry would have played for about 5 more years nobody would ever touch the records he would break. Or imagine if he had Emmitt's O-line in front of him.
