ING Direct. A Professor of mine told me about this Savings Program. Is it a good company to keep savings in?

Have you done business with them before? Is it fairly easy to use? Would you recommend saving money with them? Do you know of any security problems, since they are a website?

They are great. Their interest rates are awesome. Their thing is you have to link your account with them to another account and do deposits and withdrawls that way. Last I checked I think the interest was at 5.25%.....what other bank can give you that with a plain ole' savings account. Their customer service is awesome, too....

I'm new to ING Direct as well, so thanks for asking this question. I have heard some good things about them....co-workers have been saving with them for well over 5 years now. The interest rates for their savings and CD's are very good. I also noticed while visiting their website, they offer home mortgages with great rates and competitive closing costs.

I found one other bank in the sky with good rates on savings.....

    www.HSBC.com

The bank mentioned above is good (current APY is 4.5%). However there are banks with much better rates out there. Check the following website to find the bank with the best rates and star ratings (all of which are FDIC insured):

FYI, I just opened up an account with iGoBanking.com (established by Flushing Savings Bank which is highly reputable and 5.30% APY with no min. or fees).

    Good luck investing your money!

yet another decision is a GE pastime Plus account. they provide competative expenses that are in many situations bigger than maximum internet and classic banks. on the same time as GE isn't registered as an FDIC insured financial agency, i does no longer assume this employer having liquidity issues every time quickly. it is likewise properly worth pointing out that there are no expenditures to open, get admission to, look after, and write exams against the account. solid success!

I have been w/ them 5 yrs and haven't had any problems. They do have a few branches NYC and Washington DC? Absolutely go for it. They just started a checking acct. You don't actually write the checks they do it and send it out.

ING Direct is not a web site.

They are one of the LARGEST COMPANIES IN THE PLANET and they were founded centuries ago.

    I do not recommend them.

I know a company currently offering 24% annually without risk.
