Would you trust former President Bush with your Health?
Simple question. Would you trust the other party with the power you want to give to yours?

A friend of mine told me about a website which lists college football openings, it helped him get his job at Puget Sound. I can't remember the name of the website.

It was something in regard to making a restless populace complacent... I think it was said about the time of the Colosseum.

The UN Security Council couldn't even come to an agreement simply to condemn the violent crackdown of peaceful pro-democracy marches led by Buddhist Monks.

I have friends and family in Iraq right now. I am not in the military. Other than the people I know who are there, I really don't have much of a stake in what is going on there.
I think that we in America have been pampered and spoiled. To the point that we think we should get whatever we want when we want it.
Let the military do their job. I, here at home, doing my job educating children, do not have a right to be war weary. I am not fighting there. I do not see the violence every day. I see nothing, good or bad. None of us, who are not in the military do.
Why should we be war weary?
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo Different Computers on a Network share the same ISP?
Our in home network is Cable, through Roadrunner we run a wireless connection between a desktop and two laptops. My question is, is the ISP based on the network connection, or is it based on the individual computers?

They claim he lied under oath, that's a crime right?

The Vietnam War Memorial was recently defaced. I respect the right to protest, but this is unacceptable.

3 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoA Civil War in America? What do you think of what Maliki recently said?
In very strong but measured remarks before an audience consisting mostly of Iraqi veterans and their families, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki cautioned that the United States could face civil war if disunity continues among differing factions in the United States Congress.

Is it high time that we recognize that our Republic has been hijacked in the last 100 years and has become a Socialist State?
Norman Thomas ran for President, on the ticket of the Socialist Party every election from 1928 to 1948. Why did he decide to stop running after the 1948 election? His answer was that "there was no more need to run as a Socialist third-party candidatesince the Democrats and Republicans by this time adopted into both of their official platforms every single Official Socialist Party position on every major issue of the day."
And with that recognition is it time to bring back our Constitutionalist Nation?
16 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIs it possible for the American people to reclaim our Constitution our Liberty and Freedom?
The Constitution granted the Federal Government specific Powers
Legistlative: The 18 enumerated powers in Article I Section 8, and only those. http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constituti...
Executive: The 7 enumerated powers in Article II Section 2, and only those. http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constituti...
Judicial: To interpret the Constuitutionality of laws and lower court rulings. NOT THE CONSTITUTION ITSELF.
I personally find that the Constitution comes down to this basic Premise:
We control the government, not the other way around. The Government is supposed to have our permission to do things, not the other way around.
So, can we re-claim our country?
15 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy did the Democrats decide to ignore the upcoming September Report on the Surge and vote to pull troops now?
The Surge is only a few months old and the Democrats refuse to let it run at least the planned course. Could they be worried that it is actually working? Since they are so heavily vested in our defeat?
17 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoCan we have a truly free secular society?
Now, until the creation of the United States, every government ruled upon the authority that rights were endowed by the govenrment, and thus could be removed, as the government ultimately consolidated power. With the Declaration of Independence the ideal changed, rights were endowed by the creator, and the government could not take these away. This was a key factor in the writing of the Constitution. The idea in the American system is that it is the Government's responsibility to protect these rights.
Secularism holds the opinion that there is no higher power. If this is so, where do these Inalienable rights come from? If it is the government, then they are not inalienable, for what is given can be taken away.
Now America is, or can be considerred as free a nation as has existed. But in the last 150 years the government has consolidated its power and has even encroached on the inalienable rights.
I'd just like to know some of your thoughts on this idea.
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoShould we hold the Democratic Congress to the same standards they want to hold Genral Petraeus?
Take every argument they're using to get us out of Iraq -ignore Petraeus, deny his plan, the time to work and so forth - and turn it around against them. The current leadership of Congress has failed to deliver on their promises. They failed to set the country on the "right course." They've failed to gain the support of the American people. They're a total political failure. As a matter of fact, during their leadership, Reid and Pelosi, the American people have overwhelmingly rejected their leadership. Anybody who has lost faith with General Petraeus has to be disgusted with Reid and Pelosi. If the Petraeus leadership can be judged in, what is it, two or three months now, the Reid and Pelosi leadership's had two or three times as much time and has clearly accomplished nothing, except a whole bunch of political stunts. Disapproval of the Reid-Pelosi Congress has collapsed, 37% to 24% after only six months. Using their line of reasoning, we need new leaders in Congress now. Right?
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat is the difference between Navigating the Congressional Record (1890-Present) and the Congressional Globe?
The Congressional Globe is Pre-1890.
In Particular I am searching for Legislation during the Civil War. The Congressional Record has Indexes, etc which will point to the exact location of a topic, speech, etc.
Does the Congressional Globe have the same?
1 AnswerHistory1 decade agoWhat do you think of H.R. (1)984?
H.R. 984 would require thousands of officials — high and low, big wheels and faceless bureaucrats — to file quarterly reports listing every letter, e-mail, fax, and verbal communication received from any "private party" that "seeks to influence official action by any officer or employee of the executive branch of the United States."
You and I are "any 'Private Party.'"
This is really not a Conservative/Liberal argument, since this bill is sponsored by Reps. Waxman, a California Democrat and Tom Davis, a Republican from Virginia.
Congress is attacking our rights of grassroots politics, what is you opinion of H.R. (1)984?
