A Civil War in America? What do you think of what Maliki recently said?
In very strong but measured remarks before an audience consisting mostly of Iraqi veterans and their families, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki cautioned that the United States could face civil war if disunity continues among differing factions in the United States Congress.

Well, he's spot-on calling Pelosi, Reid and co. "castrated camel jockeys." That's priceless.
I think he's saving face with the Iraqi people, who see daily evidence of the Dems' attacks on Maliki.
As for civil war, of course he's wrong. The Dems tried that approach in 1968 and have suffered ever since. He's right about the show trial of Gonzalez, and that Dems' intrasigence about Bush and Iraq are a threat to democracy. Dems lost the election in 2004, but have attempted to circumvent the voters' choice by obstructing Bush's ability to govern.

You have to be blind not to see the pressure building in the US right now. Don't think it'll be red state vrs blue state. It will fall to whatever trigger, at this point most likely the Illegals that serves as the flashpoint. Could be abortion, could be gun control, could be an issue we haven't considered yet. The US is clearly fractured. People no longer see themselves as Americans first if even as Americans at all. We are hyphonated somethings first then American or just not American at all. Some race, religion or idealogy where America and the best interests of the nation come in way behind the special interests of one given group or another. Everybody wants to get their piece of the pie and could care less about the pie being around 10 years from now.
Massive levels of corruption at every level of government, two political parties that have no touch with reality or the will of the people. All that's needed is a little economic pressure and a flash point to set the whole rotting mess up in flames.

He can not say anything about a civil dispute that the United States is not aware of, in the United States. Our pulse is checked regularly, and we do get high blood pressure from time to time, we also experience a kind of menopause which comes with age.

I don't know about a civil war, but we are going through the Culture Wars -- Conservatives vs Liberals. They have been going on since the 1960's.

Maybe it needs to happen. This country is headed in the wrong direction. It would be nice if it didn't have to happen, but we all know the government is corrupt.

From what he said, we can now safely say we know what Karl Rove's new job is, speech writing for Mailiki.
Nothing he said has any basis in reality and he is just trying to obfuscate the issues.

You act like it never happened before.
