Is there a Bias? AP writes a story scolding military for not using non-lethal ray gun in Iraq. One Problem...?

Journalists are known to be very credulous of anything that backs up their political biases.

When the NRA or a right-to-life group publishes a study or makes a claim, journalists are on the case, checking every fact and scrutinizing every last detail.

But if a story comes out suggesting that America is evil, there is no need to fact-check. If NOW or Planned Parenthood or some other wacky group makes a claim, they are inclined to believe it, and actually don't seem to care if it's true - as long as it's sensational and dovetails with their biases.

Very interesting indeed.
