just bought a alpine type R 12 inch?
i have just recentlly bought Alpine type R 12 sub. and i am about to run it with 1100 watt mephis amp. does anybody knows how good the sub sounds in a ported box?

Very good depending on the box and the port size. i work @ Best Buy and we have 12" Type-R in a 2.25 cubic ft. box with dual 9" ports and it sounds amaizing. BTW, we are runing a Kenwood KAC-9102D 1700watt Mono

form rs.are staggering squaresubs, yet your amp will be way underpowering them....get a larger amp some thing which will provide them each and every 500 watts or 600watts relying on which form r type you've......placed them in a ported container and they are going to POUND...$500 for all that is a widely used deal..yet theres no aspect of poweribg them with that amp...youll ultimately finally end up destroying your subs.
