Doesn't Anyone Talk?
Why do people want to know how another person feels about them, but don't want to ask them? They have an aversion to language tools like the spoken word. They must be into osmosis. Why don't they just ask? Don't give me dribble about rejection.

Everyone likes to hide and hopes that some other person will point the way or that by some magical means that some person can answer how another feels about them.

Most people probably do want to know how another person feels about them, but they don't ask because they're afraid of the answer....not because they have a language or speech aversion.

Because sometimes hearing the truth can hurt and make you think too much and not knowing how to change can drive a person crazy. When someone thinks they might hear something good, they get shy because it is like asking for verification. How's that for dribble?

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer, but I totally know what you're saying! People get all weird on me when I want to "talk about" how I feel or what's going on in our relationship. What gives?!

They are too scared to ask because they dont want the moment to be awkward or they dont want to feel embarrassed or scare the other person off.

i guess it depends on the individual. If I ask too many questions Im classed as "nosy". If Im wanting attention from the opposite sex Im straight out, thats why I dont get too far!

They do prefer the distracting guessing game of uncertainty to the sure pain of rejection.

because they are afraid of rejection.if they just wanted to hook up with the person it would be easy but when you have feelings towards the person its hard telling them how you feel.

Talk is abundant and cheap. Most people avoid telling their true feelings because of fear of rejection... but I think you already knew that.
