My friend has BBK headers on his Mustang 5.0. Very easy. You can do it with a set of ramp and a good wrench. Just remember to let it cool down before you grab the manifolds. HOT..
After you get the old manifolds off clean the surface of the head with a sanding pad that is made for gleaning parts. You want a good glean head to make a good seal in the gasket. After you have everything installed check you bolts after you drive it a few days latter. They can come lose from the heat. That's it your done. If you take it to the shop they will charge you hella for an easy job. DO IT YOUR SELF. Don't get screwed.

It all depends on the year model. 79 to 93 are fairly simple and can be done fairly quickly with a few hand tools and a floor jack. It just takes patience, replacing the stock bolts when replacing the headers can be a pain. You can save yourself time by buying a set of bolts that allow the use of an allen wrench or a 3/8's hex head instead of the factory 7/16's.
If your installing them on a 94 to 95 it's about the same. 96 on is a bit more difficult due to the design of the modular engine it's much wider versus a 302 therefore you are going to have less room to manuever, good luck my friend!

It really depends on the shop. Ive never paid to have anythign like that done but id guess 50-100 to have them installed. If you ahev the tools, and the time you could probally do it. Ive seen a few mustang engine compartments and there kindof tight. If you try to tackle it yourself make sure you mark or label andthing you unplug, and save everybolt. I find it helps to take pictures when i tear stuff down becouse it helps me rememeber where everything went. But thats a 1 day job so you shouldnt have to worry about that. There shorties to so they should bolt right in, that makes it alot easier.

steer sparkling of BBk headers.some my gearhead acquaintances that put in them on their Mustangs have had leaks @ the tube the position its welded to the flange that mounts to the right.bypass w/ the lengthy tubes.once you're going to bypass by ability of a lot time, worry and $$,bypass w/ the l/ts.Mac,Bassani,Pypes,SLP,Kooks are a number of the organizations that make a precise high quality header which will in fantastic condition your vacation.verify them out.also the perfect fastest simplest thanks to position in lengthy tubes is to drop the ok-member.Thats how I put in mine. Its no longer that complicated, the hardest area is eliminating the springs from the front end because of the burden their less than.once you eliminate the springs, help the engine and transmission w/ floor jacks, eliminate the guidance rack, the bolts that carry the ok-member in position and decrease it to the floor. With the ok-member lengthy gone you'll discover how a lot room you should position in the headers.once you bypass to position in the headers eliminate the threaded studs interior the cyl. head and use a precise high quality locking header bolt. The locking bolt will assure you have not got any leaks @ the flange. The nuts will lower back off over the years and could leak. they could be able to't be tightened once each and everything is lower back jointly.you'll get a intense high quality set of degree 8 locking header bolts on e-bay for about $50.00.it is going to take a weekend to do the change, yet your vacation will extremely respond to the lengthy tubes, extraordinarily in case you've already got a cai.good luck.

depends on where you live. they are easy to install if you can access bottom and topside of vehicle ( lift) . bbk is good brand good flanges to the head less warpage that way less header/gskt leaking. the hardest part is breaking loose the flange bolts that are usually rusted or break during removal. It can take a back yard mecanic around 2 -3 hrs to change. depends on model yr and if it has a/c
