New York City Hotels - are they cheaper during certain months?

New York is always expensive - given the popularity for leisure and business travel, there's no real off-peak period as with so many other destinations. The best place I've found for deals is Travelzoo.com. I live a few hours from NYC and have gotten some amazing deals through that site.

If you are traveling from further away, look for a package with air and hotel.

The first person is right in saying New York is always expensive.. however prices do fluctuate alot during the year.

I seem to find them reach there peak in Novermber and December due to the holidays, and then quickly plummit to lows in non holiday periods during January and Feubaury. They seem to again get high during the late spring or summer.

So if you are looking for cheap, look between about Jan 5- March 10 or so. Non Holiday weekends will get you the best rates.

The previous answers were right, though, I usually go to NYC for Christmas, spring around April and late summer and I usually get a four star for less than $200, sometimes a suite that goes for $800, just depends how good you are at finding the deals (usually on internet sites).

The summer is the cheapest. No on is in the city when it gets hot and sticky. Even the New Yorkers go to the hamptons. I would suggest June or Augest for the cheapest rates (and the shorest lines everywhere else)

when you're open to staying at a Hostel or a eu type (share bathing room) you'll get tremendous charges some decrease than $one hundred a evening. I merely went in November and stayed on the Wellington for a strong cost. will be diverse now. charges change.
