.Stubborn stains...this time maple syrup & butter on upholstery...HELP?
My sister spilled this on her daughter in law's easy chair & everyone's mad at her! She really needs an answer! I'm sure the sugar is the main problem here. We'd appreciate any inyelligent miracle suggestions.

Do you have a carpet cleaner?
Many have hose attachments for upholstery. Ask around.
They wet and suck off the liquid, instead of saturating the fabric and having it sit in the stuffing.
If a grease stain remains after it dries, use talcum powder to absorb the oils, and vacuum. You may need several treatments.
Also, try Nature's Miracle. It's an enzyme solution to get rid of pet urine. The enzymes in the liquid "eat" organic matter(sugar) and leave the fabric stain & odor free. It takes almost 2 weeks, but it really works.

anything oily, dishwashing liquid always gets the grease/oil out. As for the sugar, try the same thing. Also many carpet cleaning places will come in and do uphostery cleaning as well.
