End of free speech in America?
With the reintroduction of the "fairness doctrine" and political correctness, will we see an end to free speech?

Hate to say it but unless we start getting more defenders of the Constitution and the FBI (in certain areas) doesn't start upholding the Constitution we will see a Government with no clear coarse or code of ethic. It will then become wise to keep your mouth shut or suffer the affliction of the idiots... The Dems need to return to the Constitution! PLEASE!!!

If I remember the courts threw out the fairness doctrine because it violated 'free speech'. Unless we get a case on it again and it goes to a court with an activist judge the same thing is likely to happen again. I can tell them that if they try to shut down talk radio in American it is going to open such a can of worms as they can't even imagine! The smart politicians won't touch it!

Life is giong to get boring. I quite like a few spikey comments now and again. I`m fairly sure that politician`s can brush off a few acidic remarks from morons like me, without having to hit the speed dial botton for a libel lawyer. What the hell is wrong with this prissy little cotton wrapped society of ours. Good old style debate is going to be a distant memory the way things are headed. How crass.

I think we will..,especially if the democrats have their way..,their reintroduction of the bill is their way of shutting up talk radio.I guess the air head americas crowd are pouting because it was such a failure. How on earth will Al fatazz Franken live off of food stamps..,he would be out of food in a week.

Theyre already trying to get rid of the "n" word.
which I find funny because then you would have to takeaway all the words that black people say to joke about whites. Then theres the latins.
So it would become illegal to say '*****r' 'cra*ker' wet-back' 'spik'
what about "jew", and "chink"
I think moreso it signifies politicians attempting to make themselves look good by taking a stand on something where they dont want to committhemselves on the IRAQ war.
Anyone else think that no child spanking law has to be one of the most idiotic bills attempted?

Nope, just a hope that "n" words, and the like will not become part of our regular speech patterns. But to be quite honest, there are a lot of minorities that don't approve of pc, because they say it is harder to identify their enemies.

With CNN, CBS, NBC, and three-quarters of the printed press unarguably bent left, why is it that they want still more control of the media?
Cable television, and in particular, talk radio, is the barometer of this market (capitalism); and it reads that the majority of the American populace wishes to consume Conservative Doctrine......
sorry Franken and Kucinich...Clinton and Obama...
