What is the real problem with abortion? [see details]?
The real issue isn't that some people like performing abortions. The issue is unwanted pregnancies. Abortion is a solution to this problem. Some people feel it is an unacceptable solution, and I for one respect their opinions. But instead of screaming about it, why not come up with a viable alternative? Adoption is only an alternative to raising a child, not an alternative to the pregnancy itself. If you want to put an end to abortions, come up with a way to transplant the fetus to a willing mother, or even a device to bring a fetus to term artificially - in vitro for the full 9 months. Better yet, create a simple, cheap, and flawless method of birth control, that all women (or men) could get at the onset of puberty; you'd have to take voluntary, responsible action to get pregnant, not to avoid it.
Calling desperate women "baby killers" isn't going to work. If you really care about the issue and aren't just using it as a political rallying point, why not address the real problem?
Suspendor: You sound an awful lot like you really DON'T care about abortion, but are more concerned with imposing your morals on others. Which is fine - it's a free country, after all. Your right to your opinion is just as protected as our right to ignore it. But if you were interested in preventing abortions, instead of feeling smug and morally superior to those women who "can't keep their legs together", you might want to get in touch with reality and accept that "abstinence only" is a really, really stupid technique.

As far as I am concerned the fetus is part of the woman's body and it's her decision regarding what to do about her pregnancy.
Maybe some would agree to the "fetus transfer thing" but promoting birth control seems to me to be a better way of preventing unwanted pregnancies. So I like your second idea better -- but I bet a lot of people won''t like that idea cause they feel it promotes premarital sex.
PS Like the guy above me who ignores the point that you made in the first alternative and focused right in on "women not keeping their legs together'."

women human beings might desire to think of roughly their unborn infants who're no longer to blame for this occasion. those unborn infants could have the privilege to stay and develop right into a common guy or woman. women human beings might desire to be greater humanitarian and much less egoistic with those infants. on the different hand, the toddler doesn’t be attentive to how or why he's here. that is not any longer mandatory to kill a existence; there are a number of different suggestions to return to a determination this concern in need of abortion. Abortion isn't an determination

The real problem with abortion is that is murder. So I don't want a child but I have unprotected sex,get pregnant and all I have to do is get rid of the consequence,a human being, by ripping it out of my body. I do agree with you that we should have an alternative. And we do, birth control, if people were responsible enough to use it. I believe the only time abortion should be an option is if the pregnancy is the result of a rape or the mother's life is in mortal danger. I also like your idea of a more accesible birth control for men and women. The big problem in America is that even though sex is everywhere in our culture,we still have our heads in the sand pretending is not there.

I pay due respect to the womb of a women. First of all each one wants to have pleasure in the bedroom and once a women is pregnant wants to get rid of the pregenancy. Due to various reasons may be finance, careers etc... I think it is mere shame for a women aborting a new born life into her. If one does not want become a mother one should take precautions well in advance to avoid any such circumstances where they feel they are ashamed of the act, and not try to kill a life which is not yet come into this world. There are various methods for avoiding pregenancy through natural methods why not try it instead of aborting.

Unwanted pregnancies have always occured. Abortion will happen. Physician's who perform abortions are better than leaving infants to the elements or murder or other methods to be rid of an unwanted child.

WOW!! I like your reasoning. I'm very pro-choice and I will fight forever for abortion rights. But the only reason I do because everyone is saying "Abortion is wrong!!" but they give no solution besides adoption. And we all know that adoption isn't a great solution. If only more people think like you do.

Who, in their sane mind, would want to carry a fetus of rapists and murderers, like Colorado's Brent Brents, Bloomington, Il's Sgt. Jeff Pelo, Louisianna's Marlon Morris, Massachusette's Richard Vitiello, or the notorious pedophile priest, Oliver O'Grady etc. etc.? Would any of the pro-life female posters here? Be honest...

Yes, I agree. I have never thought of it like that. Is somebody actually trying to create an alternative to abortion? If not, they should, that way everybody would be happy.

First, let us be straight: unwanted pregnancies is the wording version of hateful fetus! If the mothers don't hate their innocent fetus who have also the mother's blood in vein, they will carry it - because this ability is given only to them by the almighty creator. While science is still working on the devices as you said, now the only thing we can do is to help them, to encourage to respect the life of the unborn. Please give them chance to be human as the creator has given you., because for the children, their mothers are their creator! Please understand that our creator also have the unwanted children: the blasphemers, the terrorists; but still they all have a chance to be human. Give the babies a chance until the day our scientists can relieve you from this holy mission!

Wow. A thoughtful abortion question.
Being pro-choice myself, I can't answer because it all sounds reasonable to me.
