I am of the school that since there is no definate proof that it is man made and that climate changes all the time that we should be doing more to deal with it and not being so pompus as to think we can stop it

A little bit of both in my opinion. I think that man has contributed to global warming to some extent, But then saying that, the amount we pump into the atmosphere is nowhere near as much that is a result of nature. In the past Earth has been a lot hotter and has been pumping out much more carbon dioxide than is the case today, and thus I have to believe that global warming is also a natural event. In other words, even if man was not pumping so much carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, earth would still be warming up regardless! But maybe not a the rate it is at the moment.

I agree. Planetary heating and cooling is a cyclical process. During the end of the Jurassic period, for instance, the earth was so hot that there were no polar ice caps at all. The earth then went through a long cooling trend, including an ice age, and is now heating back up again.
Temperatures are locally higher in cities due to the urban heating effect, but the overall atmospheric temperature is changing only in response to trends that take place over aeons.

Disagree.
The scientific debate about whether global warming is real and caused by man is over. This is not some treehugger Commie conspiracy to control people.
Scientists agree it's real and caused by man:

Business leaders agree it's real and caused by man:

Republican leaders agree it's real and caused by man:
"We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late. The science is clear. The global warming debate is over."
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican, Governor, California
"Our nation has both an obligation and self-interest in facing head-on the serious environmental, economic and national security threat posed by global warming."
John McCain, Republican, Senator, Arizona
"These technologies will help us become better stewards of the environment - and they will help us to confront the serious challenge of global climate change."
President George Bush, Republican
The global warming deniers are exactly the same type of non-science believers as the people who don't believe we landed on the moon.
I would have added "or those who believe the Earth was made 6000 years ago". But I can't. Evangelical Christians believe it's real and caused by man:

The scientific debate over whether global warming is real and caused by man is finished. Yes and yes.

When George Bush recently changed his mind and started talking about global warming as a problem, It became obvious this is becoming too serious to leave on the back burner.

The fact that there has been previous ice ages and stuff indicate that there have been severe climate changes that werent caused by man but, lets be honest, because we're ruining the atmosphere so much is speeding up the process

climate changes all the time and goes in cycles.what happened to the ice age to make it melt? dynasaurs wind? we had no carbon using machinery that i am aware of. Whatever the uk does will not make a bit of difference if the rest of the world doesnt follow suit. in my opinion it is all a lot of hot air in order to make more money out of those who can least afford it for the government to then fritter away on undeserving causes.

I disagree, I agree that it is not easy to acknowledged the existence of suffering and realizing that you as a person who cares can not help to relieve any of that suffering. But I disagree with your second statement that the worst suffering comes from realizing you've wasted your life figuring out how to live with yourself. I think that any time that is spent to get to know yourself is time well spent, not a waste.

it is being accelerated by man made emmissions. so the current cycle of global warming is not really natural. I thing we've messed this planet up good and proper.

I certainly think it is possible. We need a lot more real data to decide whether it is true or not. We need a lot more data to prove whether global warming is real.
