I'm visiting San Diego...?
I have been in San Diego for a couple of days now and its my last day here and I need an idea of something to do - I have walked around teh Sea Port Village and gone to Barbola Park, I need an idea for something else to do today - I am staying in the Gaslamp quarter so what are some good things to do around here - within walking distance cause I have no car would be preferred.
I'm traveling around America & Canada, for today I'm San Diego and I will visiting San Fransisco shortly - had to include San Fransisco on the trip.

Check out the aircraft carrier or look around Horton Plaza. Also, you could take the Trolley to Old Town or Fashion Valley (another shopping mall).

You should go check out Pacific Beach and Mission Beach. Walk down Garnett Ave in PB and Mission Blvd in Mission Beach. You can take the trolley to Old Town then the number 8 or 9 bus to PB, it's real easy and the bus runs every 15 min. Or you could take the 30 directly to PB and get off on Garnett or Mission. Mission Beach is a great little community to walk around, especially near Belmont Park.

Honestly just go walking around the gaslamp. A lot of the restaurants and clubs won't be open, but there are art galleries and stores scattered throughout. So that would be a fun way to spend the afternoon :-)

If you have time, be sure to hike out to the old Mission Dam through Mission Trails Park. It's off Waring Road, on the way to Santee. 35 minutes or so from Downtown via Highway 8.
