You could bake a pan of chocolate chip cookie bars but instead of cutting them into bars, cut the entire pan into a big heart. Wrap it in red saran wrap. Delicious, homemade, and really sweet.

Other ideas: a cd that he'll love, a framed photo of the two of you, tickets to a basketball game or other sport that he likes, something related to a hobby you share. I'd avoid cliched or overly romantic things that guys don't necessarily appreciate (store bought candies, teddy bears, etc).

Not only is it your anniversary, but it also happens to be the most romantic day of the year. You two got together on valentine's day last year...think about the little things that made that day so special. After missing out on spending most every holiday with my boyfriend for 4 years due to his service in the army, I learned that the little details and memories are what matter the most. Last year, he came home from his 2nd tour in Iraq just in time for Valentines day. We drove to the popular swimming hole in our home town where we first met. Since it was winter we had it all to ourselves. we didn't stop and visit with family-this trip was for us. I wrote him a letter like the ones I sent him every day he was away. In this one I told him how I felt when I first saw him & all of the other little details he didn't know about. I had kept little things he had sent me over the years(a chinese fortune, a quarter machine ring, a dried up flower from inside a letter he sent, a tiny bottle of sand from Iraq, etc.) I covered a little box by glueing many of these items on the outside along with a the quote "The course of true love never did run smooth-William Shakespeare" For the items that wouldn't glue onto the box, I set them inside with the letter and finished it off with a bow. We sat, bundled up, by the water as he opened the box. I was able to point out where I was sitting with my girlfriend when I first saw him, and how nervous I was when he approached me. We shared our memories of all we've been through, and finished out the trip by tossing rocks by the waterfall like we did that first day. I also found out that the reason he asked me to throw rocks with him was because he couldn't swim and wanted to aviod the topic. : ) It meant a lot to both of us. We laughed, I cried a little, but what mattered was that we both left smiling hand-in-hand. It didn't cost me a thing except for time (he payed for the gas), but I'm going to have a rough time trying to top it this year. What I'm trying to say is think about the day you hooked up. As it was special to you, it was also special to him. Take the little things you remember. The fun things, the clumsy things and the cheesy things are all just as important as the serious and romantic things because that's what makes your relationship special. Emphasize on that and you'll do great!

every valentines day i make my boyfriend a basket of his favorite things; candy, snacks, drinks, dvds, books, clothes, video games, picture of us, random valentines stuff, and anything he's been talking about that he needs or wants. he loves it! also cook him dinner/dessert or take him to his favorite place to eat.

A personalized message in a bottle is a pretty neat gift.

i think that you should give him a shirt of his favorite soccer team or to be more romantica you should give him a bear that says "i love you" or just show him how much you really love him

What about making him dinner, it's thoughtful and something he will always remember.
