Sunday brunch in New York City recommendations.?
I prefer buffet style. Something a bit upscale. I've already tried water club, but want another suggestion.

Arabelle at the Plaza Athinee on 64th and Madison serves a spectacular brunch - $70. The buffet table has lobsters, shrimps, meats, fruits, etc. - awesome. THEN, when you've stuffed yourself, you order your entree. Service is excellent.

I have a sweet tooth - give me lots of great pastries and I'm a happy camper - The desserts at 8 1/2 (9 West 57th Street) are the greatest. The buffet is good - they have shrimp, carving boards, an omelet station, a crepe station. The food is good and it's a very pretty, comfortable place. If you go, I am talking about the desserts that are laid out on the bar - not the cakes and doughnuts that are with the breads (I nearly missed them the first time I went). Brunch is about $30.

The Plaza has a WONDERFUL buffet with mimosas, etc. You won't need to eat for the rest of the day...so I would advise going around 1 or 2.
