Bridge tolls - is the Green Party just dumb, or Tory tax puppets?

Today it was confirmed that the bridge tolls on the Forth & Tay River crossings are NOT to be scrapped. The Green party votes made sure the tolls stayed in place.

They reasoned that scrapping the charges would INCREASE road congestion...and therefore pollution as more poeple would travel.

Are they retards? There are one hour tailbacks EVERY NIGHT on both bridges, bringing traffic to a standstill, all burning fuel going nowhere, the congestion (especially in Dundee) blocks the City Centre road EVERY NIGHT instead of allowing free flowing travel.

Do you think this was a good policy?

Should they be scrapped?

I think if they Greenies REALLY had a grip on reality maybe the tolls could stay in place & the funds used to plant trees...a MUCH more green policy than trying to stop / disuade somebody crossing the bridges...for the sake of £0.80!

What do YOU think would be the best option...in the REAL world.

Why do you have to pay to get into Fife? It is unfair that Fifers have to pay to get in and out of their home Region. If you work in Fife and live outside the Region you have to pay to drive to work. It causes traffic congestion at the Tay Road bridge, unnecessarily. The argument that it eases congestion in Dundee is total eyewash. They Tay bridge is constantly being maintained and lanes are frequently closed, causing frustration for motorists. The Forth Bridge has a limited life span and a new crossing will be needed in ten or so years. It has paid for itself in tolls and the gutless Greens should be ashamed of themselves. It demonstrates what a pathetic waste of money Holyrood is, with inarticulate, ignorant and 'self first' jumped up, useless MSP's. A total waste of space.

I think the Greens environmental agenda is a smokescreen; They're only interested in power over other people, a type of bullying.

Get them back; chop down some trees, and then burn them.
