my company filed bankrupcy, and no longer exsits. how do i get my w2 to file

    You use your last paystub.

    Filing bankruptcy does not excuse them from providing a w-2 for former employees. How far are you from a IRS office? If you can get to one, they will help you with that problem.

    If you kept your pay stubs you should be able to file electronically from the last pay stub you received for the year.

    You could probably call the state employment office or the social security administration and they can tell you what to do.

    Use form 4852, substitute for lost or missing W2 form and use your income and witholding from your last pay stub.

    Wait until the 15th. My GF is going through the same thing, if you don't get anything by then, just start doing your taxes. It sucks, I know, but that's the way it goes.
