Looking back as an adult, do you wish your parents would have been different in some way?
Such as spend more or less time with you, take a bigger interest in you, or let you have more privacy, etc....

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could all have had our dream parents? The older I get the more I realize what pressures the world presents. The more I realize that, the more I understand my parents did the best by me that they were capable of doing. Now I often wonder if I would have done as well given their situation. I raised one child, they had six! My child was wonderfully healthy, but I was very sickly. I have triple the income my parents had, even given inflation. I was raised in the era of civil rights; my parents grew up under even worse discrimination than I experience today.
I bless the memory of my parents and forgive them completely what I didn't get that I felt I needed. It is too late now anyway.

Of course..... usually every kid grows up and thinks back about what type of parents they had. I know when I think back about my parents, I wished my dad would of been there for me as a parent instead of putting me out when I was 16yrs. I wished my mother would of been a better parent by not letting my dad tear my life up into pieces. There are alot of things that I wished my parents would of done differently when it came to my brother and I. But even though I wished that I still love then cause they are my parents.

No not really, I happy with who I have become. I know they did the best with who they were and what they had at the time.
No regrets here.
