I want to become friends with my ex-best friend again...but she's kind of popular...?

I used to have this really great friend, Nikki, who I did just about everything with. We spent practically an entire summer joined at the hip. Then, she told a secret of mine to someone else and we just stopped being friends. Just like that. Now it's 5-years-later and we've both grown up. She seems a lot nicer now and I want to be friends with her again. She friend requested me on Myspace, so now I want to message her saying I want to be friends again. But she's become one of the most popular girls in school and I don't want to look stupid and embarrass myself. I'm afraid she'll reject my offer to put the past behind us. What do I say and how do I say it? Please help! Thanks in advance!

    first of all u have to say sorry to her if u know u fault.its doesnt matter if shes popular in the school.if shes really nice she wont mind about her popularity she would take a vow to have you again maybe shes only waiting that u say sorry to her. try in a better way to talk about pastime tell her that if u two can start a new friend and tell her that now u grow u realized it that u was wrong. living in small world secret never can be secret at all.

    her popularity really has nothing to do with it- if you like her for her and not because shes popular shell be able to tell. If i were you, i wouldnt say anything, talk to her and be your normal self and a friendship will develop naturally as all friendships do. If you say anything, she may think youre desperate or clingy or that you may just wanna know her cos shes popular. She may question your motives. Just be pleasant and if you treat her like her friend- shell become one.

    id ring her at her house and pretend ur looking for sumthing(like a top or skirt) and ask her if shed seen it.Then just take things from there. gud luck and go 4 it!! no regrets x
