My fire belly toad isnt eating?
I got a fire belly toad about 2 days ago the guy said to feed him a cricket once a day but he hasnt eaten since i got him, the crickets are alive and they set right next to him! one even poked his eye and he just jumped away, so its not like he has a hard time catching them.

I have two fire bellies in a 30 gallon tank that is about 1/2 water and 1/2 land. If you've only had him two days he's probably just getting used to his new environment.
FYI...I usually buy about two to five dozen BABY crickets at a time and they will be eaten over several days.
Wait till you're sitting around the house late one night and the toads start croaking....the noise is very different and cool sounding!

He may just be getting used to the new home. How big are the crickets you're trying to feed him? If he's a young frog, it's best to give him crickets that are about 1/2 inch or so. If they're too big, he may not take them yet. And he only needs to eat about twice a week. It's okay for them to go a few days without eating, so I wouldn't worry about him yet. Make sure he's got a good place to swim - they like to spend lots of time in the water. I give them about 1/4 land, 3/4 water in my tanks. http://www.frogdaze.com/fire_bellies.htm

Try a vet. And please, if you have to force feed it, you might as well let it die. You probably don't want to, but it's the best thing to do.
