What is the best thing to use while Bowling?
So should there be more importance to speed, or more importance to direction, now it;'s really hard to have both, so I ask... I am a kinda strong person, so I use speed, but never manage to get a score above 100[I'm an amateur!]

Ok...Its a little more difficult than that. But as an amateur the most important thing before you focus on speeds and hooking the ball (putting spin on it), is to throw it at the pocket. The pocket is between the 1-2 or the 1-3 pins one on each side obviously. If you hit that area and dont underthrow the ball you should be able to pick up more strikes. Also, when trying to pick up spares throw the ball across the lane. For example, If you are trying to pick up a ten pin or a right side of the lane spare, you should start on the left side and throw it at the ten pin. You should aim for the arrow on the lane just to the right of the big middle arrow. Vise versa for seven pins and left side spares. Any other questions or need more details, feel free to im me or email me dannyboy788@yahoo.com. I work at a bowling alley and carry about an 180 average.

Accuracy is much more important. You want to hit the pins in the pocket between the 1 and 3 pins if you're right handed or the 1 and 2 pins if you're a lefty (like me). Speed isn't that important. If you hit the pocket correctly, you'll get a strike even if you use just enough force to get the ball to travel the length of the alley.
