Do you work with TIF Files?

I found many cds with plans in uncompressed TIF format, each of them are 15M in most of the cases, and i need to compress them to TIF group 4 or any ther in order to create small pdfs files.

Thank you in advance.

Update:

TIF has some subgropus as Group 3 and 4 that are compressed versions of TIF. I am looking for a software to do this converstion...

    I use IrfnaView.32 in windows, and Gimp2./? in Ubuntu

    But this tells you what it is. sorta.

    TIF's are uncompressed most of the time. Try a converter that uses jpg or bmp as the output.
