when it says ur the first to answer the question, do u get upset when there are answers ahead of u?

I don't care if I'm first or not. But you do pose an interesting question as to how Yahoos computers handle the input from Answers. I suppose that all 6 people in your example wouldn't press enter at the same exact millisecond and the computer can sort all of that out. Pretty deep thinking for this time of night. (At least where I am.)

It's because of how the internet works. Once your page opens with the question, your connection is DONE. Now, while you are answering your questions, and taking a long time deliberating on it, several others loaded the page, answered the question more quickly than you did, posted their answer, then you answered. That is the lag that you speak of. If you were to continually refresh the page, then IE would have to see if there were updates, or posts, to that page. You would see just how quickly they were answered. If you want to get a better position, type something quickly, like erhiohghl, submit, then edit.

No what I hate is people giving worthless one sentence answers just because they think there's a better chance of getting best answer because they answered first.

I dont really care where in line my question is. When I pick a best answer I won't pick one just because its first all answers no matter where in line they fall have a shot at getting best answer.

I hate that, I love being first but never am very often. we should get extra points for answering first to I think, it bloody hard to do.

It says I'm currently fifth in line, but I type slow and sloppy, so let's see where I end up...Dang.
