Change your display resolution to something higher. Right-click on your desktop and choose properties. Then, under the Settings tab, increase your display resolution to your monitor's maximum allowed setting. Also set the color quality to 16-bit or 32-bit.

well if its in safe mode i suggest to restart your cp then while it restarting quickly press F8 untill it bring you to a black screen that says which way you woul like to boot go down to normal ......now if its just you icons being huge then right click your desktop and click properties then go to the tab that says settings then go to color qualty make sure its set at the highest which is i believe highest 32bit and then go to the left where it says screen resolution that will make icons smaller or larger just move the bar as u desire. Hope this helps out

A better question is "why is it running in safemode?" If you checked that it's really on Safemode and you want to get out of it, you can restart the computer, after the Windows logo appear it should prompt you to which mode of windows you want to use. Choose from there. Hope that helps.
