The Digs at Atlantis Resort in Nassau Bahamas?
Does anybody know anything about the Digs at Atlantis resort in Nassau Bahamas and it being free in the evenings? Can you walk around Atlantis resort sight seeing for free in the evenings? What are some resonable priced restuarants there with ocean views? Thank you!

From what I have read, you can go in the casino for free and the aquarium is free at night, but you are not allowed anywhere else on the property. They have guards on the beach that won't let you walk on their sand unless you are staying there. I am staying next door where it is thousands cheaper and all inclusive. Atlantis seems like a rip off.

I went to nassau bahamas when i was on a cruise. We took the "city tour and shopping excursion". When we got off the ship we had to wait for our driver, they are small vans that fit no more than 8 to 10 people. Im not sure if you booked an excursion through the cruise ship or if you're going to just get off the ship and find your own way to Atlantis resort. As part of my shopping excursion, we got to stop off at the Atlantis resort, you have to cross a bridge to get to it but it's fairly close to the pier. It's beautiful. There are some shops inside, restaurants, and on the back side are the pools and slides and stuff. We weren't there long enough to do much, just toured the place and admired their fish ! It was nice though. There are tons of taxi's at the pier, you shouldn't have a problem !

I do not know how it is now, but my husband and I walked through it one night and it was fantastic...well it was free because we knew the tour guide. I suggest you call and ask the resort...242-363-3000.
