If you could vote; would you support candidates who believe in PEACEFULL diplomacy or a strong MILITARY?

In 1970 I was drafted into the military yet I was not yet 21 and old enough to vote back then. If the draft is re-instated you will have a voice in your government; hence the above question. Aloha and mahalo.

I believe exactly what Teddy Roosevelt preached:

Speak softly, and carry a big stick.

Well of course both. In order for our Country (The United States) to be strong and unified and possess standing power, we would need a strong military; however, this strong military does not have to be used for personal gains but more in the lines to reinforce peaceful diplomacy and add a strong defense to our nation. It should be noted however that their have been several studies describing the United States as quickly going broke, our debt is larger then its ever been and it is only a matter of time until the country can no longer afford to get into matters that do not directly concern us.

Strong Military. Peaceful diplomacy is also known as "The country formerly known as". Dem's love that diplomacy. They love the UN. I say get us out of the UN. With all the money we save we could help our own people. It's not our fault that people in other countries refuse to use condoms therefor spreading disease and overpopulation. It's called survival of the fittest. The meek shall inherit the earth alright, in fact that's where they will spend the rest of there time...buried in the earth,

I would vote for candidates that would have a strong defense if we were invaded, but would not take us into wars by showing us false info. I think diplomacy should be used first unless a band of armored vehicles starts rolling in from Mexico. Then, it's "clobbering time".

In a world where people is strapping themselves to dynamite and setting them off in girls' schools just to make a political statement, there is no place for peaceful diplomacy.
