Question about "Dreams"...?
Why is it that when we dream about something, we always forgot what we dreamt of when we woke up?
and also..
Is it true that what happens in a dream is the opposite of what will happen in real life?
Well, I kind of remember a bit of my dream but i don't remember what my dream is about, i just remember some of the people involve in my dream.

for your first question: I don't know why you forget it, but if you keep a dream journal, you will remember your dreams more clearly.
for your second question: No, that is absolutely wrong. Dreams are reflections of your emotions or fears, and they have no future telling abilities. If you learn to understand your dreams, you will learn to understand yourself.
Source(s): I am proof of this. I have done a lot of research in dreams, and have done amazing things with them. It gets to the point where about ever 2 weeks, I know that I am dreaming, and can control the atmosphere. I can fly, feel pleasure (great for sex dreams) and pain (horrible for tourture dreams). - richiesownLv 41 decade ago
You're probably a restless sleeper then maybe even trying to live the dream and semi wakening up with fleeting glimpses, try getting a sound sleep in a good frame of mind .. how do you know you forgot a dream?? there's no scientific proof that I know of that dreams are anything but...... dreams.

strange that you forget all your dreams, I generally remember mine, and I beleive it is just my sub-consious mind working out the details that my conscious mind does not have the time or energy to deal with during waking hours---sometimes tho' my dreams are premonitions and I always remember those! Dreams are always somehow related to what is going on in our world somehow someway, at least that is how I believe it to be

I've always heard our dreams were opposite.
birth-death
