What color to paint kitchen/family room?

My kitchen has very light cabinets and the countertop is a darker hunter green with black appliances. The family room and kitchen our basically connected..open floor plan, so I need to paint both rooms the same color. The floors are medium tan colored tile. HELP! someone please.......

I like the color green shown right here, surrounding these boxes...kind of a celery green, lighter than sage green. I think it would look nice with about any color scheme and since your countertops are dark green, this shouldn't clash.

Well it depends on what you all like. If you want to keep it neutral try a sandy brown and maybe a light yellow But it all depends on what you like Since the tiles are brown they could go with many different colors

Sherwin Williams has a great neutral color called Quiver Tan.

Your home sounds similar to mine. I have a butter color throughout and it is very nice. The color is versatile as far as your decor...from traditional to contemporary, it works.

either a sage green or a warm terra cotta color would work.
