Little tiny seizure?

Hi- before I begin, let me stress that I HAVE CALLED THE DOCTOR AND WILL BE GOING TO SEE HIM IN ONE HOUR!!! OK, that being said, my 6 month old was eating his bottle and drifting off to sleep when his entire body started shaking. I had to sort of wake him up, and he kept shaking, I put him on the floor on his side and he stopped shaking, and got irritated and started crying. He has no fever, but has had a runny nose for a couple of days. I know it can be common WITH a fever, but Gabriel has no fever! I am totally freaked out! Anyone else's baby go through this? What can I expect at the doctor's office? Thanks a lot :)

Update:

Hi everyone! Thanks a lot for everyone's wishes and advice....I am happy to report that he is fine. The doctor thought that he may have fallen asleep with a tiny bit of milk in his throat or mouth and sort of gagged on it in his sleep, he basically said that he wasn't too concerned because Gabe has no history of anything and the little episode only lasted about 5-15 seconds, whereas seizures last longer than that. We're just gonna keep an eye on him and if it ever happens again we may have to have a couple of tests done, but the doctor (whom I explicitly trust) felt that it was going to be an isolated incident. Phew! Thanks again, guys! :)

my friends baby had non fever induced seizure at 6 months as well and it was so scary for them. She was in the hospital for a week. Nothing was ever found and she never had another one. She is a perfect 4 year old! Good luck at the doctor...you are a good mom for taking such good care of your child

The doctor's office will probably send your baby for a CAT scan. This is how they will see into the lobes of the brain to tell if there is any pressure there that could diagnose a seizure and its cause. It does sound like maybe he had a seizure, but I am not a doctor. Good luck! I know you are worried and I will pray for both of you. I'm sure everything is going to be all right.

there is no longer lots you're able to do mutually as she is having a siezure different than to make her gentle and make valuable she doesnt choke on her tongue. straighten out her neck and gently pull her toungue out. if her siezures are lasting over an hour, this is a grand ball seizure and if it happens in many circumstances she needs to be on medicine for epilepsy which includes Phenobarbital to help sidestep it. the greater she has them the greater she hazards recommendations harm and different well-being severe themes. particularly of taking her to the emergency vet, take her to her popular physician and tell them approximately each seizure and how oftentimes, each little ingredient approximately it. each so often they could settle directly to do no longer something approximately it because of the fact the medicine used to handle it may oftentimes do greater harm than good. notwithstanding, on your case i think of they are going to medicate her. an hour is a very long term, maximum basically final a jiffy. you may start up preserving a checklist of whilst she has them. what time of day? how long because of the fact the final one? something unusual which could in all probability have led to it? how long did it final? did she urinate in the process the siezure? and so on. believe it or no longer, epilepsy is exceptionally elementary in dogs notwithstanding it is likewise very treatable and existence will flow on. stay valuable, it is going to all paintings out!

Here's a link for febrile seizures, but if he doesn't have a fever it probably(?) wasn't that kind.
