Has anyone else noticed a bunch of Jehovah's Witnesses/Watchtower types asking each other softball questions..

...on the R&S board recently? There's something very disingenuous about it all IMO. Seems they are just trying to facbricate opportunities to plant thier teachings and links on the boards. Don't JW's have kind of a salvation style point system kind of like Y!Answers for the "works" they do?

Update:

If they get Y! points and JW points, isn't that double dipping?

I have not noticed. I do from time to time see some, presumably well intentioned person, asking a question that is not really a question. I try to always REPORT them as it sets a BAD example. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I think most of the ones asking simple questions are trying to share our point of view more so than just give points to other Witnesses. Still as I said, I report them if it seems they are not really asking questions.

Actually I just started relooking and I do notice quite a few NON WItnesses asking easy as pie questions. Some of these even CLAIM to be Witnesses. I really do not understand why people feel the need to make their case for or against something by asking loaded questions. 360 exists for a reason.

Please remember we are all human. I am sure some of the FAKE questions are really by actual Witnesses. You can do your part by reporting them for the fake posting, thus either making them realise their mishap, or at least removing them from the community.

They play the religious scam game more effectively than most in the "God game". Tax exempt status is a nice leg up on business competition, so religion in American is a business. Crack pot cults have their place at the trough, and life goes on.

It is a safe bet God has His own opinion about those who exploit His name and HIs people for material profit. I try not to waste much time on people trying to hustle me, I got better things to do with my time than engaging in senseless religious debate over meaningless dogma, quoted out of context designed solely for confusion. Still we are obligated to tell them the truth, so I do, even though it is usally a wast of time.

Only Satan would try and confuse simple people into believing Christ "is" Michael the Arch Angel. Get real, there's a sucker born every minute, and a line of two bit con artists waiting to exploit those who are vulnerable. Everyone has an opinion, and the blogbaba could care less what the watchtower's is.

I don't want someone knocking on my door just to share their confusion with me, but I let em in any way, and correct the errors in there spiel, eventually they reach the point where they start to "deprogram" and decide to seek additional instruction from who ever confused them in the first place.

It's been a while since I seen any of them, and don't look forward to the next visit, but if Jehovah's Witnesses are the worst we have to look forward to, we are in pretty good shape.

I pity them, more than anything else.

    Making up stories, are we?

No, they have no point system. The desire to preach comes from knowing the truth, not because there is a reward.

Consider also, when this old system is done, there is just more work ahead. 1000 years of rebuilding Earth back into a Paradise, only for Satan to be released one last time for a final test.

Being a witness means being driven to work for God and Christ, 100% of the time, and not just being a Sunday Christian.

Jehovah's Witnesses are interested in working to preach the bible's message of "good news", and they do so primarily by personal interaction by their door-to-door ministry.

(Luke 9:6) They went through the territory from village to village, declaring the good news

(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

But Jehovah's Witnesses are also interested in personal study and bible research. It seems that some Jehovah's Witnesses use Yahoo Answers to share their research, and look for related information. It would seem that is exactly the purpose of Yahoo Answers.

definite, its person-friendly. i've got faith it fairly is through fact the only concern on their techniques is proving they are extra suitable in doctrine...what else ought to it fairly is. besides attempting to transform "the international," they notably a lot have no longer something valid or of pastime to talk approximately. maximum are uneducated through fact greater training is discouraged, sooooo...the fear-unfastened psychology of drone thinking or robotic speech subsidized up by potential of their bible and classes do no longer take place to them as being peculiar. and that they might't be reasoned with through actuality that their worldview relies totally on a defective translation of the Scriptures. after all, they are drilled and schooled in overcoming objections on the Theocratic Ministry college. With all that factor working in direction of circumstances and reinforcement of how JW's are God's chosen human beings, is it any ask your self why they communicate in circles and don't even are conscious of it? examining something different than what the Society in Brooklyn tells them too is commencing the door to devil, so as that they say. they are saved too busy and inundated with in simple terms JW doublespeak that this is impossible for them to get a break away from the corporation's propaganda. in accordance to them we ought to consistently all be taking section in our existence through fact anyday now Armageddon will destroy us all. That specific is ALOT of human beings going to die, and btw in simple terms they are going to be left. All I ought to assert is, Wow!

There are two of them in court in Vancouver this week, trying to sue a hospital for giving their premature, newborn sextuplets blood transfusions. Of the six babies, four survived, and that's with the transfusions. I have to wonder whether or not those four would be alive today otherwise. Personally, I don't care what their agenda is, if they're willing to let their own children die for their beliefs.

Yes, they do, and thanks for the heads up. We all need to try to expose heresy where it exists. Oops! just gave a JW points because I "persecuted" them. Oh, oh.

I haven't noticed, but yes they do have to collect a record of "works" in order to be sure of being saved. I understand they also need to have someone checking on them.
