Is there any way when a (Q) is posted that we don't have to see what other answers are first?

I mean, Isn't that defeating the purpose of the Question by seeing the answers first? I would think so. It's sort of like copying, only it's put in a different format. Afterall, this is about wit and knowledge, is it not ?

Update:

I meant wit and knowledge to the aide of others.

The people that look at other answers before they provide their own are cheats.

I've seen many times when people change their answer after someone else has provided the correct answer.

I think the 'edit answer' should be removed.

Those people are obviously 'point gaming' and that is in violation of the terms of this site.

I know exactly what you mean. This is when you should chose to just skip the answer, unless you can add to, or disagree with someone Else's answer. Being, or having redundant answers does not make sense to me either.

    Quality not Quantity applies here.

I skip over some answers that are just HELP!!!!! OR omg>!???

You know what I mean. Most of the time, it's a waste of time trying to figure out just what the Big deal is. How can you give an educated opinion to questions like that. Know what I mean?

Stick to your guns, and stay fluent with wit, or knowledge.

Hint: Check the time of answer. I always switch to First-to-Last answer on options button, this helps.

You don't want to see answer first, just don't read them.Course i think it's dumb if you answer a question that already has an answer, unless you can add more detail to answer given.Yes copying other answer's is'nt need'ed,person only need's one correct answer. No this is'nt about wit and knowledge,it's a way for people needing help to try and get it.The whole consept of the Q&A is to help someone. Not show how smart you are.No one really care's how smart we are just get help need'ed.Good day.

I believe seeing the answers before yours is a very useful tool. It keeps you from giving the asker the same answer, and if you do then it's not likely that you'll get chosen as the best answer. If you look and see that the answer you were going to give has already been posted, you might take that same answer a step further, giving the asker a more in depth answer instead.

Just refrain from reading the others first-It's easy to wanto scroll down and get a taste of other answers.

I like to just answer what pops into my mind first, and if it happens to be similiar or the same answer as anothers- thats ok.

If you give an answer based on others, its called brainstorming, nothing wrong with that. I've used more than one answer as an answer.

I just makes it hard to decide on the best one

It's optional to scroll down through the answers.
