I just bought an Epson Stylus DX4000 multifunction printer off Amazon.co.uk lastweekend (arrived via express courier Tuesday lunchtime), which is pretty damn good....... prints out great, has a built-in scanner + photocopier, only cost £50 (£58 with courier delivery)...... bare in mind it doesn't come supplied with the USB Type A to USB Type B cable to hook it up to your computer.

I have tried Epson stylus, Lexmark printers and they are ok in photo quality. BUT, beware that their ink catridges are very expensive. The Epson catridges are so tiny, you can only print about 10-15 photos (half A4 size) before they run out of steam. I now switched to Canon ip series. The one I have is IP 3000 and it only costs US$110. The catridge set with individual inks of 4 colors only cost US$27. They last about twice the life-time of Epson and Lexmark. The print quality is amazing too. It also has CD/DVD label print out slot -- very handy. It has both top and bottom paper feedings. An excellent and value for money printer, according to my standard.

Look out for the Epson range of "Photo Edition" printers they should be aroung the €80 mark.
