Water cooler won't cool anymore...?

I have a small household water cooler that I bought from Lowes. Recently my wife plugged it up without any water in it. It no longer cools, though the hot water function still works. Is this a serviceable problem or is this unit dead?

The unit is serviceable. I don't know what part you might have burned up running it with no water, but any part can be replaced. The deciding factor is cost. I don't know how much the cooler cost to buy - it might be less expensive to replace than to repair. A refrigerator or appliance repair company should be able to give you a $ estimate for repair
