I support the mission. I saw the good we are doing first hand. You see poeple who have never known any freedom. Never seen outside of thier town, they are now able to drive and travel. The people thank you, the kids want to play with you.

Our brigade built school, hospitals, provided security, fuel, water. We were there and are there to liberate, stabilize, and promote a free Iraq.

I support the mission, my family does. I was there for OIF3 and have been alerted for another tour. It the put your money where your mouth is moment that the liberals who hate bush and are so agianst this war will never have. They will never see the moment when a terrorist is kicking down their door and they are reserved to talking to them and not fighting. They will never see that moment because troops like myself are overseas making sure the fight stays there and is won there.

The media makes it harder to stay strong. It seems like everyone is against your success. Makes you wonder what your protecting sometimes. But you learn to take the drive by media reports with a huge grain of salt. You drive on. Luckily I've got alot of supportive family and friends (and am blessed to live in the great state of Texas)

So yeah, for me and the soldiers I know, we support it....just wish we felt more support...

Oh an guy O - often time when you have someone else describe the paining to you they get it wrong

I can only speak for the military personnel I know personally. The answer I receive from them is always an emphatic yes. They do support the mission and do believe that it can be successfully completed. However, I am sure there are people serving who do not support it. The military is a microcosm of general society and all opinions are usually represented within it's ranks.

The soldiers in my family, those that have been there and those that haven't, support the war. They seem to have a better grasp of things than some people. War is hell and not popular. They do their jobs to the best of their abilities. My nephew left Friday for tour 2 in Iraq. He not only fights for our freedoms but also the freedoms of the innocent ones over there. They are getting a taste of freedom and want it. Before, it was just a dream they had. Thanks to all you guys who have served! God bless you and yours, always!

Of course the soldiers want to stay and liberate Iraq. But you would never know that because the media is only giving the public one side of the story the side that makes it look like the war is going down hill and that we should pull our troops out. But talk to a soldier down there and they'd say that they have to stay because there getting close to peace.

I know my son does, and those that he has served with feel the same. He has been to Iraq 3 times (Gulf War included) and is heading back to Afghanistan for the third time in a matter of weeks. I just wish the media would report the good along with the bad

Honestly at first I doubted the mission.........But when I was standing out on that street guarding a polling site for the very first Iraq election..........I knew then that what we were doing was right........it was a moving moment for me because the men and woman that would approach me and shake my hand and say "Thank you mister, Thank You", and stick there purple finger out so you could see they voted......truly a monumental moment.

Most of the guys I have talked to that served over there didn't really think what they were doing was going to do any good, unless they stayed their forever. The other ones I have talked to that support the war a pretty much just gung ho killers. They enjoy "killing towel heads" and muslims is what they said I think. I have no doubt that the soldiers support the war, because after all what are soldiers but killers themselves?

I KNOW they support the mission. There are no more than a handful of liberals in the US military.

They're brainwashed and forced to apparently. Why else would a sane person travel half way around the world to cause such havoc? It's like they can't find anything to help with at home.
