Any advise on starting a church?

I am a Christian pastor who is going to strart a Christian non denominational church in Oklahoma designed to reach people that currently have no interest in going to church. If you have any serious advise from the name of the church, legalities, normal start up problems, recommeded websites, or ways to reach the target audience, I would appriciate it. Please only serious comments. Thank you.

Make your adds light and happy. You get ones that are all morbid and scary, almost like they're threatening you to join. People don't need to attend, but you would love for them to drop it. Keep that attitude.

Sometimes you see these people in the streets advertising for churches and things, bellowing prayers of salvation It's frightening.

And no pamphlets xD People that read them already go to church.

I don't go to church, don't really have a book other then Terry Pratchett, but it's always fun to see people start their own business^^

    Wish you luck.

My dad's a pastor but he started a church before I was born and our church is non-denom too. but I recently found an old journal of his and I think thats something you should have. My dad wrote in a journal, stating his dreams and goals and writing about the positive things going on with the church or just his life. He always taught me to reach high and have big dreams. Your definetly going to have problems and people wont always support you 100% but pray, thats another thing my dad did several times daily.

Although my church has been running for over twenty years now just a few years ago we started busing people in from the mission. We have a church shuttle and we have a specific time and we go pick them up on Sunday Mornings and wednesday evenings and no they dont tithe obviously, but they are proabably some of the people who need to hear God's word the most. And I know as a new church you proabably wont have a shuttle or more than one service but you could have someone pick up a few Mission people or ask the mission service to drop them off. I've learned to not be picky who comes into Church, were all people right?

Also, another HUGE important detail is to get great leaders. Not just good leaders but great. Starting a new church you wont neccasirly have or need a lot of leaders but if you start off with great ones, you will quickly need more because your church will be growing.

Good Luck on starting you church, I'll pray for you.God Bless!
