    Scientific Process: the act of defining a hypothesis and testing it with observation or experimentation.

    Hypothesis: an idea or potential explanation for an observed natural phenomenon.

    Theory: a hypothesis that has been proven time and time again to be supported by natural evidence, like the Theory of Evolution and the Theory of Plate Tectonics. Gravity is a theory; however in science nothing is assumed to be a fact because you can always run another test. Critical questioning is essential in the sciences.
