Who sings "How Long (Has This Been Going On)"?

This is really confusing. I have limewire and I typed "How Long Has This Been Going On". The results returned 2 types of songs. The one I don`t need is a classic, slow song that begins with "I could cry...".

The one I NEED has those lyrics:

How long... has this been going on

How long... has this been going on

Well your friends with their fancy persuasion

Don`t admit that it`s part of a scheme...

etc.

I found 6 artists which correspond EXACTLY TO THE SAME VERSION OF THAT 2ND SONG.

Who is it now? I cannot tell!

Could you help me tell whether it is HALL & OATES, AMBROSIA, ACE, JACKSON BROWNE, PABLO CRUISE or LITTLE RIVER BAND???

Or at least exclude some of them!

Thanx so much for your help!

The song was recorded by a group named Ace in 1975. Running time 3:19 with a fade ending. Has a long intro that runs 31 seconds.

correction: the ones who said ace are entirely correct.

    disapproval!?!?! i'm crushed!!!

one BIG problem with limewire is that 60% of the information is incorrect. you can type in the correct name of an obvious hit, but you will get whatever garbage someone has the file stored on their computer. for instance, i have the song 'promises promises' which is actually by naked eyes, but was imported as simple minds. limewire is flooded with inaccuracies.

now i know that it isn't, hall & oates, ambrosia, or jackson brown. there is a strong possibility that it is by the little river band, but i am not 100% sure. you say not a classic, but these are all groups that are from the 70's.

I believe that "Ace" is the most recent to record it!

If you're thinking of the version that came out back in the 80's, that would be Hall and Oates
