How much does it cost to put my daughter in Girl scouts?

W3LL A F3W of my friends r n it & i used 2 b n it & over all it's really fun!!! It costs around 10 to 20 dollars depending on the people u kno and the troup ur joining. But think of it this way, while ur daughter is at a girl scout meeting, u can get ur nails done or clean up the house or cook! Anything u want!!! Girl scouts teaches young girls how to b responsible n school and act like young ladies. It's a great way to increase ur child's social skills and teach her how to make new friends. When I was n Girl Scouts, we went on trips, sold things, and made things. I liked it and made lots of friends during the process. Honestly there aren't any cons about joining Girl Scouts!!! Some schools count it as an Extra Curricular Activity, so it will look good on ur child's future Resumes or Transcripts!!! Anyways, it's ur call. Just make sure she always has a ride 2 and 4rm the meetings. I kno ur like well duh!!! But, take it 4rm me, when ur the last child 2 b picked up or the last child 2 come 2 a meeting it's pretty embarrasing!!! Anyways, think about it.

My daughter (7 years old, second grade) is in her second year with her Brownie troop. It's about $100 to start up because of dues and uniform. However, the second year I did not have to buy a uniform so it was only $30. It's been really great. The pros have been making close friends, doing a LOT of cool things that she wouldn't otherwise have gotten to do (like a camp-out at the zoo), and the great role-models provided by the leaders. The only con is that on Brownie days she is SOOOO tired afterward--ours meets after school, so it's a long day for her.

Troop fee to become a girl scout is usually $7.00 ,then you will have to purchase a uniform depending on what her leader chooses either a sash or vest , with type of shirt and /skirt. The rest is usually earned with fund raisers likeselling cookies ect.

I been in girl scout for 2 years and it cost nothing but you get do a lots of stuffs! The only place that provide that is church, the YMCA, clubs!

It usually cost only about 20 or 30 dollars the huge expense is every thing else from cookies and subs to badges and outings then it cost a small fortune

it shouldn't cost you anything if you can't afford it. i loved being a girl scout when i was younger. we went to camp and outings and we didn't have to pay b/c we couldn't afford it. girl scouts won't punish a child if parents aren't able to afford extras like that, they understand that groceries are more important and have programs set up so that everyone can join. my mom even found me a uniform at a thrift store, but we didn't even need that. we just got together and worked on badges, it was great!!!
